It’s been a week, so here’s the next Wallpaper of the Week. 

This week’s composition started out life similar to this:

After some work in Paint.NET (a free Photoshop equivalent) the result is quite different!

Welcome to a new series of posts featuring one desktop wallpaper per week.

Without further ado allow me to introduce the first design, Forest Flare. As the astute will observe this is the background to this site. Created using Inkscape, an open-source vector graphics package, and Paint.NET a free version of Photoshop, the whole design took less than 3 hours to create.

After an initial flurry of posts I’ve decided to reduce the daily quantity of “inspiration” posts to one. I’m hoping this will improve the quality of these posts, and also free up some time to develop some new ideas. So without further ado…….
